| It is a joy to welcome you to the historic installation service for our new Assistant Pastor, the Reverend Jacqueline A. Thompson, an immensely gifted, spiritually anointed minister of the Gospel, who has been called into this vineyard to serve this present age. We extend a very special welcome to our many visitors, to Reverend Thompson's beloved family, and to the many distinguished clergy, including our keynote speaker, Co-Pastor Susie Owens. |
| May the entire world know that the Reverend Jacqueline A. Thompson is deeply beloved and highly regarded by the Allen Temple family, as she is a spiritual daughter of this congregation whose vast gifts caught our attention when she was a precocious youth growing up in our midst. Later Rev. Thompson went on to graduate from the University of California at Berkeley, and from the Howard University School of Divinity with honors. The Lord then placed her on the distinguished staff of Shiloh Baptist Church in Washington DC, and from that base in our nation's capital, the Lord gifted her to establish a powerful preaching ministry throughout the land. This past year after conducting a nation-wide search, the Lord led me to select and present Reverend Thompson to the congregation as a candidate for the position of Assistant Pastor. The congregation affirmed her calling, with an overwhelming vote. |
| Since coming on board in January, the church has been blessed by Rev. Thompson's powerful preaching and by the many significant leadership contributions that she has made in the ministry areas of worship and congregational life. I'm extremely blessed as a Senior Pastor to have a trusted partner in ministry who can be counted on to provide innovative ideas, wise counsel, and Christ-like loving pastoral care as a servant leader to the Allen Temple church family. We give thanks to God for the Reverend Jacqueline A. Thompson. Let us continue to pray for her and her ministry as the Lord works in her life and in the ministry of the Allen Temple Baptist Church. |
